πŸ“œ Guide

  1. For Dungeons, Razorfen Downs is available at this level as well as Scarlet Monastery Armory and Cathedral wings. Razorfen Downs may be harder to find help for. Use the Group Finder with 'i', or ask for help in /LookingForGroup or /lfg chat depending on your server.
  2. Grab the quest Bring the End from the Undercity for defeating the final boss of Razorfen Downs.
  3. Explore the new area Alterac Mountains. If you've done Scarlet Monastery Graveyard you might have picked up Vorrel's Revenge which will send you to the north of Alterac Mountains. If you've completed the prerequisite quest Steelsnap, grab Frostmaw from Melor in Thunder Bluff which also sends you here.
  4. Kill Crushridge Ogres and Syndicate Sentries along the way for experience as you head north for Vorrel's Revenge. Kill a Hulking Mountain Lion for a Fresh Carcass for Frostmaw.
  5. Once you defeat Nancy Vishas and Grampa Vishas, run south to complete Frostmaw. Kill the Giant Yeti's around the cave and summon Frostmaw with the Fresh Carcass to complete the quest.
  6. Depending on your class and gear, try killing level 38-39 elite Crushridge ogres at the Ruins of Alterac. They hit pretty hard though.
  7. Head back to Desolace to quest. Grab Portals of the Legion from Shadowprey Village and head east to Mannoroc Coven to close the portals. Kill the various demons you see there: Burning Blade Summoners, Demon Portal Guardians, Mage Hunters, Doom Warders, and Lesser Infernals.
  8. Finish up the Magram or Gelkis quests, and Hand of Iruxos if you haven't already. On the way north of the Kodo Graveyard, grab Bone Collector.
  9. After finishing up quests in Desolace, I would continue to grind it out to level 38 here or back at Stranglethorn Vale, which is detailed again next level. Alternatively jump right into a Razorfen Downs or Scarlet Monastery dungeon run.

πŸ’‘ Tips

  • If you are trained in the herbalism profession, Mannoroc Coven is a great place to farm for Gromsblood, which is used by alchemists to create Elixir of Giants, Mighty Rage Potions, and even Flask of the Titans
  • Desolace in general is good for collecting herbs such as Grave Moss and Fadeleaf, both reagents for Shadow Oil, which in turn is a reagent for Greater Shadow Protection Potions. Use Grave Moss, Fadeleaf, and Gromsblood for alchemy or sell them on the Auction House
  • Alterac Mountains is a good place for herbalists to farm Wintersbite, a reagent for Frost Oil which is often used by melee raiders in AQ40 for Viscidus
